After a local breakfast at our homestay, we’ll prep the bikes and set off for another day of discovery. Our first stop is the picturesque village of Lung Tam, renowned for its centuries-old tradition of hemp linen weaving. You will witness the incredible patience and skill required to turn raw hemp into high-quality fabric. For those feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at the traditional cloth-rolling technique you’ll be surprised by the balance and physical strength this craft demands!

The Path to the Frontier

Leaving Lung Tam, we navigate a rugged mountain shortcut that leads us into Yen Minh for lunch. From there, we embark on a guest-favorite: a spectacular 50km stretch winding toward the northernmost border of Vietnam.

     The Hmong King’s Palace: We’ll pause to explore the historic residence of the "Opium King," once the most powerful man in the region. It’s a fascinating look into the architecture and history of the high plateau.

     The Extreme North Point: We’ll ride to the very edge of the country. On clear days, the panoramic views stretch far into the Chinese landscape on the other side of the border.

     Sister’s Insider Tip: We highly recommend timing your adventure to be in Dong Van on a Sunday. The weekly highland market is a vibrant explosion of color and culture where ethnic communities gather to trade livestock, goods, and most importantly, catch up with old friends. It is a social event you won't want to miss!

The King of Passes

After breakfast, we leave the busier paths behind and venture into the most serene corners of the highlands. Today’s highlight is the legendary Ma Pi Leng, widely celebrated as the most spectacular mountain pass in Vietnam. To truly soak in the majesty of the "Sky Path," we’ll embark on a 4km hike along the ridge the perfect opportunity to capture breathtaking, panoramic photos of the winding Nho Que River far below.

The Abyss & The High Plateau

From the heights of the pass, we descend toward the water for a cruise through Tu San Abyss Alley, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. After experiencing the scale of these limestone giants from below, we’ll break for a well-earned lunch in the town of Meo Vac.

The Road of Children

Our journey continues toward the hidden gem of Duong Thuong. En route, we’ll pause for coffee in Mau Due, marking the start of what many call "The Road of Children." As we ride through this rugged terrain, you’ll witness the resilient spirit of the local minority communities, with children playing along the roadside while their parents work the rocky mountainsides.

Hidden Waterfalls & Village Charm

We’ll arrive in the cozy, emerald-green valley of Duong Thuong in the late afternoon. If the weather is on our side, we can head to a "secret" local waterfall for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water. We’ll spend the evening relaxing in this tranquil village, sharing stories over a traditional meal.
